METAL & DVST is an independent art space curated by multidisciplinary artist and interviewer Kelly Korzun.
Being a human-centered UX strategist, I believe that as long as you stay grounded in what you’ve learned, you can arrive at new solutions that the world needs. Design is a conversation, but conversation only really begins when a user gets involved. We make things, put them out there, and wait to see how the world responds. Today, this conversation has become a user interface.
I’ve always believed that a big part of my mission is to provide clarity – to ease the flow of complex themes and subtle messages without ambiguity or over-statement. Well-considered design tends to disappear when it serves its purpose in optimizing communication or use.
Iteration is key – it gives the opportunity to explore, to get it wrong, to follow our hunches, but ultimately arrive at a solution that will be adopted and embraced. Having over a decade of hands-on experience in product design, I’m still learning everyday as new technologies, platforms, and habits emerge.
